Condor CEO Spotted in Weymouth

Post by BFMunchkin »

Possibility Of Condor Ferries Coming Home To Weymouth?

Condor Ferries used The Weymouth Port as a gateway to Jersey and Guernsey.

However, due to the cost of works required to get the port up to standards, Condor Ferries Left Weymouth in 2015.

At a cost to Weymouth Harbour of about £750,000 a year.

Fresh hopes of a possible return, after CEO John Napton, was spotted entering the Weymouth Town Council office discreetly at 2 pm 22nd November 2021 with 2 other males.

Statement from Weymouth Town Council spokesperson:
The meeting on the 22nd was mentioned last week at the public Full Council meeting in a round-up of upcoming engagements. The CEO from Condor was in attendance on the 22nd, as they are currently looking into a feasibility study, which has been reported in the media previously.

Weymouth town councillors have been given until next year to report back to Dorset Council on this issue.

An update on the project will be provided at a future public council meeting.

The media reported about the feasibility study previously in the public domain.

Deadline set for decision on ferry service returning to Weymouth
